Women in Investment Awards 2017

24th July 2017 | Beverly Landais

I am delighted to be a judge of Investment Week's inaugural 'Women in Investment Awards'. The Awards set out to celebrate and recognise the achievement of women in the UK's Investment Industry. The Awards also seek to inspire more women to work in what is an exciting and dynamic sector.

Why is this important? Experience tells us that deep engagement of a diverse workforce leads to innovative solutions, stronger teams and better client outcomes. Recognising the value of diversity impacts upon engagement which in turn drives productivity. Nominating someone for the 'Women in Investment Awards' expresses recognition of the value of women in this sector.  What is more, it encourages an attitude of inclusion that actively seeks talent from the broadest pool.

Making a nomination is straightforward and easy to do. Do it now and spread a glow of appreciation in your workplace. The submission process is open until 4th September 2017. The Awards ceremony takes place in London on 29th November 2017.

Further details are available here.

"I found Beverly’s style to be effective, in that it was left to me to do much of the talking and therefore the ‘answers’ were drawn out from me/in my words rather than being given to me on a plate. Beverly’s open questioning approach was effective. [The sessions] were probably more demanding than I expected, in that I had to think hard during the sessions and I found some questions challenging (although Beverly did warn me that would be the case at the start of the first session)."

Chartered Financial Planner, Wealth Management

"I have dealt with a number of executive coaches in the course of managing a large legal practice. I rate Beverly extremely highly and as one of the best. Her calm, supportive style enables her to quickly build relationships with candidates which enables them to make the most out of their time with her and her incisive analysis identifies the real issues to be addressed. "

Gavin Tyler, Managing Partner - Cripps Law

"Beverly’s hands-on leadership has revitalized Baker & McKenzie’s marketing model. She is involved in local decision-making and global initiatives and has restructured Baker & McKenzie’s London communications and business development function into an integrated team collaborating with the firm’s lawyers and marketers worldwide."

Comments of Judges – Beverly Landais, winner of UK Marketing & BD Director of the Year 2008 at The Legal Marketing Awards 2008

"Beverly has a natural way of nurturing and encouraging people to fulfil their potential and making them feel good about themselves - and I speak from experience!"
