Workshop: Enabling Successful Change

20th April 2017 | Beverly Landais

On 9 May 2017, Beverly Landais will run a workshop on the topic of Enabling Successful Change. The workshop takes place in central London (venue TBC). It will start at 12-noon and finish at 2 pm. The workshop is the part of a series events organised by the Professional Services Marketing Group (PSMG). These events are specifically designed to provide all those involved with or have an interest in professional services marketing with excellent learning opportunities, and the chance to network with others within the sector and outside.

Workshop Synopsis:

All change requires transition: individual changes require a personal transition. Most of us experience a strong response to any change. One of the strongest can be the struggle to accept a new direction. It is important to understand that this is a normal part of the transition and that there are practical strategies that can help people learn to let go of the old and embrace the new.

Beverly Landais’ role as a coach is to help individuals gain insight into what facilitates change and help them learn how to deal with the transition process, thus enabling stakeholders to move forward more quickly and effectively.

This lunchtime workshop will encourage participants to think about what change management is, and improve awareness of what’s involved in dealing with a change initiative. The workshop is highly interactive with participative exercises that aim to cement the theory of change management into practical takeaways that can be implemented in the workplace.

By the end of this session, each participant will have improved their understanding of change management, and be better equipped to implement the desired change.  Specifically, participants will:

  • understand why organisational change can be so difficult
  • learn about tolerance for ambiguity
  • uncover techniques to build personal resilience
  • discover how to use a model to communicate change
  • practice how to have difficult conversations on issues that can hold up change
  • deal constructively with objections and critical feedback
  • find out more about how you can implement change smoothly
